Effective 26 September 2026 · Last updated 26 September 2026
Applies to: the Android and iOS application ‘BeerPrice (비어프라이스)’
Three things first.
Results are for reference only. Price-tag recognition can be wrong and
store prices can change, so please check the actual price and discount conditions in the
store before you pay.
This app is for adults aged 19 and over. It only compares the prices of
alcoholic drinks; it does not encourage drinking, and it does not sell alcohol or broker its sale.
This app is free and has no payment function. The coins in the app are
only ever given free of charge and cannot be bought.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the application
‘BeerPrice (비어프라이스)’ (the ‘App’) provided by Appl.GongBang
(the ‘Company’), and the rights and obligations of the Company and its users.
Article 2 (Effect and changes)
- These terms apply to everyone who installs or uses the App.
- The Company may change these terms where necessary, within the limits of applicable law.
- When the terms change, the changes and the effective date will be posted on this page.
Changes that are unfavourable to users will be posted at least 7 days before they take effect.
- If you do not agree to the changed terms, you may stop using and uninstall the App.
Continuing to use the App after the effective date means you accept the changes.
Article 3 (The service)
- The App is a calculator that helps you compare multipack beer by converting its price
into a price per 100ml.
- Its main features are:
- Calculating the price per 100ml from the price, volume, quantity and container type
- Calculating from the amount actually paid, after coupon or promotional discounts
- Text recognition that fills in the fields from a photo of a price tag or discount coupon
- Keeping and revisiting past results
- The App does not require sign-up or login and does not create an account.
- The Company may improve or change the content and features of the service.
Article 4 (Results are for reference only)
- The App’s results are reference information based on values you entered or
that were recognised. The Company does not guarantee that any product is the cheapest.
- Price-tag text recognition can be wrong, depending on lighting, angle and the
design of the tag. Please check the fields before calculating and correct any wrong values yourself.
- Store prices, promotions and coupon conditions (minimum quantity, period, payment method and
so on) are set by the store or issuer and may change at any time. The Company does not verify
or guarantee them.
- The price per 100ml is displayed with its decimals trimmed, so it may differ slightly from the exact value.
- You should check the actual price and discount conditions in the store before paying. Decisions
to buy based on a result are your own responsibility.
Article 5 (Age and drinking)
- The App is for adults aged 19 and over. Anyone under 19 must not use the App.
- The App is only a tool for comparing price information about alcoholic drinks. It does not
encourage drinking, and it does not sell alcohol or broker its sale. Prices shown in the App
are entered or photographed by you; the Company is not advertising any product.
- Excessive drinking harms your health. Do not drive after drinking.
Article 6 (Coins)
- ‘Coins’ (엽전) are a unit shown in the App and used to run a calculation.
Each calculation uses one coin.
- Coins are given free of charge only, in the following ways:
- An initial grant when you first install the App (5 coins)
- A daily refill (3 coins) when you launch the App again after your balance reached zero and
the date has changed. The date changes at 9 a.m. Korean time (midnight UTC).
- A refill when you choose to watch a rewarded ad to the end
- Coins cannot be bought with money, and the App has no payment function.
- Coins have no cash or property value. They cannot be cashed out, refunded,
transferred, exchanged with others or taken out of the App.
- Coins are recorded only on your device. If you uninstall the App, any remaining coins are lost,
and the Company cannot keep or restore them.
- The Company may change how coins are given, or how many, where operationally necessary.
Article 7 (Advertising)
- The only ad in the App is a single type of rewarded ad for refilling coins.
It plays only when you choose to watch it, and no ad interrupts you while you use the App.
Once an ad has started, it cannot be stopped partway.
- Ads are served through Google AdMob. Personalised ads and the advertising identifier are
described in section 3-1 of the Privacy Policy.
- Ad content is decided by advertisers and the ad provider, and the Company does not review
individual ads. If you see an inappropriate ad, please tell us at the address in Article 13 and
we will take steps such as reporting it to the ad provider.
- Depending on the network or ad inventory, an ad may not be available. You can still receive
coins through the daily refill.
Article 8 (User obligations)
You must not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, copy without permission or modify the App, or attempt to do so
- Obtain or manipulate coins or ad rewards by abnormal means
- Extract the App’s images, text or design and distribute or use them commercially without permission
- Use the camera in a way that infringes the rights of a store or others, such as taking photos
where photography is prohibited
- Otherwise break applicable law
Article 9 (Intellectual property)
- Rights in the App and the images, text, design and software it contains belong to the Company
or their rightful owners.
- Beer product names and logos shown in the App are trademarks of their respective
owners and are shown only to make products easy to recognise. The Company has no
affiliation with those owners, and they do not sponsor or endorse the App.
- The Company grants you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable right to use the App.
Article 10 (Changes to and suspension of the service)
- The Company may change the service, or suspend all or part of it for technical or operational reasons.
- If the service is permanently discontinued, the Company will give notice in advance where possible.
- Even if the service is suspended, calculation history already saved on your device stays on your device.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
- The Company is not liable where it cannot provide the service for reasons beyond its reasonable
control, such as natural disasters, network failures, or policy changes by operating-system or
device makers.
- The Company is not liable for problems caused by your device environment or by your own fault.
- As set out in Article 4, the Company does not guarantee the accuracy of results or the outcome
of purchases based on them.
- Nothing in this article excludes liability for the Company’s intentional misconduct or
gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Article 12 (Governing law and disputes)
- These terms and the use of the service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- If a dispute arises over use of the service, the Company and the user will try in good faith to
resolve it through discussion.
- If it cannot be resolved by discussion, either party may bring a claim before the court with
jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
- The Korean version of these terms is the authoritative text. Other language
versions are translations provided for convenience; if they differ, the Korean version prevails.
